Marla Joy – Alzheimer’s Association

$14.00$65.00

In 2018 the Alzheimer’s Association published an estimate that 5.7 million American’s were living with Alzheimer’s Disease.  That number is 50 million worldwide.  For most of us, it takes very little time to find someone we personally know that is suffering from this disease.  The financial and personal burden placed on individuals, caregivers and our healthcare system increase year after year.  There is no cure for Alzheimer’s Disease.

This describes who the Alzheimer’s Association is and what they do:

The Alzheimer’s Association is the leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer’s care, support and research. Our mission is to eliminate Alzheimer’s disease through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care and support for all affected; and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health.

We wanted to do our part in helping the Alzheimer’s Association by offering this coffee as a way to raise money for their organization.  We partnered directly with the Montana Chapter in 2018 and became an official Cause Marketing Partner.  We were in fact the very first company in all of Montana to make this commitment.  We are grateful for the dedication from the wonderful staff from our MT office.

Proceeds from the sales of this coffee go directly to the Montana Chapter and to the efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association.

We were personally affected by Alzheimer’s when our mother passed away from symptoms of the disease in 2014 at the age of 64.  The name we chose for this coffee and the inspiration for our commitment to this project is because of her and dedicated to her.

The coffee is a blend of varieties from El Salvador and Guatemala roasted to a medium dark roast level.

Thank you from all of us at Ghost Town Coffee and the Montana Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association!
